Five of Adriene's quilts were included in the coffee table book, Spirits of the Cloth, by Carolyn Mazloomi, based on the exhibit of the same name. Divine Guardian, shown below, graces the cover. Roland Freeman's A Communion of the Spirits: African-American Quilters, Preservers, and Their Stories also features Adriene's quilt Dunumba, commissioned by Valerie J. Maynard.
